Description: Immerse your child in the enriching world of homesteading and herbalism with our Herbalism & Homestead Nutrition Program. This unique, hands-on learning experience blends the essentials of sustainable living with the profound knowledge of medicinal herbs, while emphasizing the importance of nourishing the body through food and nutrition.
Set against the vibrant backdrop of our homestead, your child will embark on a journey into the heart of nature, self-sufficiency, and holistic wellness. We go beyond basic homesteading skills by integrating Meadow Love’s deep expertise in nutrition, teaching children how the body works as an interconnected system and how to support it through whole foods and herbal remedies.
Through engaging activities, students will learn about key body systems—like the digestive system, nervous system, and circulatory system—and discover how each plays a role in keeping us healthy and thriving. They will gain a practical understanding of how sugar works in the body, how to support cardiovascular health, and how to maintain balanced energy through proper nutrition.
As we delve into the world of medicinal herbs, we also explore how to incorporate them into everyday wellness. Students will cook and prepare nourishing recipes using nutrient-dense ingredients and healing herbs, gaining hands-on experience in crafting meals that support optimal health.
In addition to herbalism and nutrition, our program also nurtures essential Practical Life Skills—the foundational skills that foster independence and creativity. Students will engage in traditional homesteading practices such as sewing, making sourdough starter and baking bread, creating butter, yogurt, and cheese from scratch. These skills not only build confidence but also deepen their connection to the process of crafting wholesome, homemade foods.
Join us as we cultivate not just skills but a lifestyle of wellness, sustainability, and respect for the earth—empowering the next generation to thrive in harmony with nature.
**After registration, an email will be sent with logistics, what to bring, exact address - all you need to know to begin.
